Why Azuki Bean?
Meet ZUKA the Bean Roaster; ambassador for the Naebizuka Coffee brand. ZUKA is 1 of 20,000 mischievous looking beans from the Azuki Beanz collection which inspired the branding surrounding Naebizuka Coffee.
Fun fact, both the site and ‘NBZK’ logo features the exact same colours found on ZUKA and his cup of coffee.
Bean Purveyor
“I started diving into coffee when I was introduced to a La Marzocco Linea PB at my day job. And ever since, the rabbit hole got deeper and deeper. From exploring different brewing techniques to obsessing over absolutely necessary tools for that perfect puck prep… I’ve always been interested in how things work / are made which was why I knew at some point I’d want to roast my own coffee. The roasts are very much an experimentation and expression of what I look for in a cup of coffee and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
While exploring the site, you may come across intriguing generative/algorithmic art featured on cover photos of roasts. If you wish to explore the complete collection, head on over to NBZK Gallery with a drink in hand and appreciate the diverse works of art by independent generative artists.”

Believe it or not, generative art has been around for a long time. A quote from an article by Sotheby’s pretty much sums it up; “works made using algorithmic codes or mathematical formulas, in which the artist grants some or all the decision-making to an autonomous system”
Coffee spark conversations and having appreciated generative art for awhile now, we thought what better way to shine a spotlight on this lesser known art form through coffee. It’s a dream to one day have a gallery space to appreciate art & coffee.
